Our firm represented the owners of the rights in the Tamar natural gas reservoir starting from the initial stages of establishing the joint venture, the purchase agreements, the joint operation agreements, ongoing regulation and discussions with the government, natural gas sales agreements for the domestic economy and for export, the financing of the project and many other issues accompanying this activity. Our firm represented the owners of the rights in Tamar in the negotiation of over 40 natural gas and oil sales agreements to customers in Israel (including an agreement with Israel Electric Corporation) and to foreign customers, with a cumulative volume of over 50 billion US dollars.
Our firm represents the owners of the rights in the Leviathan natural gas reservoir (one of the largest natural gas discoveries in the world in the last decade) in all legal aspects of the project, and has provided counsel in relation to the project starting from the stage of acquiring the rights in the project, in the joint operation agreements, regulation, procedures with the government, financing and more. Our firm represented the rights holders in the project in the negotiations for the natural gas sales agreements to a variety of consumers in Israel, Jordan and Egypt with an aggregate amount of over 30 billion US dollars.
Our firm represented NewMed Energy (formerly Delek Drilling) in a precedent-setting and historic transaction for the sale of all its rights in the Tamar reservoir to Mubadala Petroleum (a company owned by the Abu Dhabi government) for over one billion US dollars.
Our firm represented Chevron and NewMed Energy in the transaction for the purchase of the rights to the EMG pipeline (a pipeline for the transmission of gas connecting Israel and Egypt) and the receipt of the various regulatory approvals required for the use of the pipeline to export gas to Egypt.
