Internal enforcement programs in the environmental field serve as an optimal mechanism for examining compliance with legal requirements. They allow the company and officers to benefit from a supervision mechanism that will make it easier for them to fulfill the obligations imposed on them by environmental laws, and to have ongoing comprehensive monitoring of compliance with the mandatory requirements in the field of environmental quality.
As part of the process, the department’s team dedicated to this matter (which includes two attorneys and an environmental engineer) maps out the mandatory requirements in the areas of quality and safety (depending on the inspection), which apply to the company by virtue of specific laws, regulations, permits and licenses. The team then conducts interviews with the responsible employees, examines documents and procedures and conducts a tour of the field.
We classify the findings and forward them to the company in order of priority for treatment, and also assist in the preparation and execution of a plan to fill in the gaps and prepare appropriate procedures. Our way of working ensures that every time we receive a new regulatory document or a change in legislation, our information base is updated.
