In addition, Arik specializes in carrying out environmental enforcement programs for the firm’s clients, in which he performs internal audits in various types of industrial plants (fertilizers, fuels, power plants, construction, quarries, asphalt plants, concrete plants, sites for the treatment of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, transport and transportation companies of hazardous materials, food, recycling plants and more).
As part of the internal environmental enforcement programs, the clients’ compliance with the general environmental requirements (the environmental laws and regulations) and the specific requirements received from the companies (conditions in the business license, toxic materials permit, emission permit, sea discharge permit, permission order for river discharge, radiation permits, etc.) are evaluated. At the end of the plan, the main points of the plan and the main findings are presented to the company’s management, emphasizing their prioritization and how to correct them.
After the evaluation, Arik provides counsel to the company in relation to the process of bridging the gaps, assisting in the preparation of protocols and performing follow-up inspections.
Arik brings with him extensive and varied experience in the fields of environmental law and in particular in environmental regulation, which he acquired during his internship at the Ministry of Environmental Protection, in his role as an assistant prosecutor on behalf of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and performing control inspections that he conducted for dozens of factories in the industry since joining the team of attorneys Arie Neiger and Amir Fish in 2017.
