Hanan Cidor

Biography

Hanan Cidor is a partner in the litigation department at our Tel Aviv office.

Hanan represents clients in complex litigation cases, both in the courts and in arbitrations, with an emphasis on class actions, derivative actions, competition law and administrative law.

In addition, Hanan regularly advises his clients on a wide range of matters related to the interpretation of commercial contracts, regulatory instructions and administrative enforcement measures.

Hanan joined our firm in 2015, after interning at the Supreme Court in the Office of the Honorable Chief Justice Miriam Naor.

During his studies at the Faculty of Law at the Hebrew University, Hanan served as the editor of the Mishpatim journal.

After a period of approximately a year in our office, Hanan pursued graduate studies at Columbia University on a Fulbright scholarship, where he graduated with high honors (James Kent Scholar).

  • Represented the gas partnerships in the largest class action lawsuit filed in Israel, regarding the gas price stipulated in the agreement between the partnerships that own the Tamar reservoir and Israel Electric Corporation.
  • Represented officers and employees of major banks in Israel before an independent claims committee that investigated the banks’ conduct towards foreign customers.
  • Represented an Israeli pharmaceutical company in a class action alleging a defect in its manufactured drug that violated the patients’ autonomy.
  • Represented a large food company in an appeal to the Supreme Court with respect to a decision to approve the filing of a class action against it on the grounds of charging an excessive price.
  • Represented asylum seekers from Darfur in Sudan in appeals to the Population and Immigration Authority demanding consideration of their asylum applications.
