Biography

Osnat Sarusi Firstater is a partner and head of our hi-tech and technology department at our Tel Aviv office.

Osnat specializes in the handling of projects and transactions in the field of information systems, privacy and information security, with clients from various sectors (retail, real estate, industry, finance, agriculture, health, etc.) and IT service providers, and in transactions for the commercialization of intellectual property of TTOS and health institutions.

She gives comprehensive legal support of high-tech companies at various stages of their business development, dealing with investors (funds, private investors, public R&D partnerships etc.), local and foreign entrepreneurs, incubators, and technological accelerators. Osnat legal advice covers the various fields of technology: software, hardware and cyber; food-tech, CleanTech, FinTech, BioTech – including medical equipment, energy, communications, semiconductors, EdTech, IT and more.

Osnat guides complex technology and intellectual property transactions, and engagements in joint ventures between local and international giants, building strategic partnerships, managing capital raising and financing transactions, merger and acquisition transactions.

In addition to a law degree from Tel Aviv University, Osnat is an information systems analyst, and has managerial field experience in the IT market and in the civil and security sectors, which allows her a deep and unique understanding of technological-legal issues.

Osnat serves as a mentor in a variety of programs of startup incubators and accelerators for entrepreneurs in general and female entrepreneurs in particular.

  • Representation of communications giant AT&T in a complex technological transaction with an Israeli company that develops integration solutions for the AT&T infrastructure.
  • Representation of the international shipping company, Flying Cargo, in a transaction in which FedEx acquired the activities and assets of the company’s international express division. The deal mainly touched on issues in the field of technology and privacy.
  • Representing Centrica Innovation – the investment arm of the British Centrica Group in Israel, in its business activities and investments in Israeli startups.
  • Advising Ofek, a cooperative company that aspires to establish the first cooperative bank in Israel, with unique information systems and technology agreements.
  • Providing legal advice to the Matrix company regarding commercial information transactions in the fields of technology, as well as regarding collaboration with various entities.
  • Representing the Feat Fund in its investments in startup companies.
  • Consulting in the fields of technology and information systems, for Azrieli, Economic Jerusalem, Industrial Building, Sha’at, Mehdrin, the kibbutzim farms, KAL, Binat, Netsaba and more.
